Avaada Group was founded in 2017 by Vineet Mittal after his earlier renewable-energy venture, Welspun Energy, was sold. The group develops and operates clean-energy businesses across several parts of the energy value chain. Its activities include solar and wind power generation, hybrid renewable projects, battery energy storage and pumped-hydro storage. Avaada has also expanded into solar-cell and module manufacturing and is developing green hydrogen and derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol. These businesses allow the group to participate not only in generating renewable electricity but also in manufacturing equipment and producing newer clean fuels. Avaada mainly serves utilities, governments and commercial and industrial customers that require renewable power or energy-transition solutions.
