Jio Platforms at a glance
Jio Platforms brings Reliance's telecom and digital businesses under one company. Its largest business is Reliance Jio, which sells mobile and broadband connections to consumers and businesses across India. The company also operates digital services across areas such as cloud, entertainment, communications and enterprise technology. This means Jio is not simply a telecom operator: the network provides the connectivity on top of which it can sell other digital products and services. Jio Platforms was created in 2019 when Reliance consolidated its connectivity businesses, technology capabilities and digital investments into a single holding company. By June 2026, Jio had about 533 million subscribers, making its telecom network one of the largest in the world.
