Chakradhar Gade

Chakradhar Gade is the co-founder and chief executive officer of farm-to-home food company Country Delight.

Journey

Gade studied engineering and earned a management degree from IIM Indore. After working in corporate roles, he entered dairy with Nitin Kaushal. The founders initially managed a small herd themselves and encountered the difficult economics, quality controls and daily execution required in milk supply.

They founded Country Delight in 2015 around subscription delivery of fresh milk. The company built direct sourcing, testing, processing and last-mile systems, then added products such as curd, paneer, eggs and produce. Gade leads strategy and growth while the model relies on controlling more of the supply chain than a conventional marketplace.

Working approach

Gade has emphasised freshness, traceability and daily consumer habits. Early operational difficulty with the farm was not wasted; it helped the founders understand why quality and delivery consistency required full-stack control.

Assessment

He has built a differentiated direct-to-consumer food network. The critical measures are food safety, spoilage, delivery density and sustainable margins across an increasingly broad assortment.
