Mukesh Bansal

Mukesh Bansal is a technology entrepreneur who co-founded Myntra and Cure.fit and later built AI ventures.

Journey

Bansal earned a computer science degree from IIT Kanpur and worked in the United States at Deloitte and technology companies including NexTag. He returned to India and co-founded Myntra in 2007 with Ashutosh Lawania and Vineet Saxena. The first model sold personalised gifts before the team shifted to fashion retail.

Myntra became a leading online fashion platform and was acquired by Flipkart in 2014. Bansal led commerce functions at Flipkart before leaving to co-found Cure.fit with Ankit Nagori in 2016, bringing fitness, food and health services under one platform. He later created Meraki Labs and moved into artificial intelligence through businesses including Nurix AI and Fermi AI.

Working approach

His career shows repeated category shifts and a preference for building consumer brands around technology. Myntra's move away from personalised merchandise was an early example of changing direction when a larger market became clear.

Assessment

Bansal has built across e-commerce, health and AI, but the breadth can also create execution risk. His record is strongest when product focus, brand and operating systems reinforce one another.
