ideaForge at a glance
ideaForge was founded in 2007 by IIT Bombay alumni Ankit Mehta, Rahul Singh and Ashish Bhat. The company grew from engineering projects developed by the founders while they were students and became one of India's early commercial drone manufacturers. ideaForge designs and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles used for surveillance, mapping and other defence and civil applications. Its drones are used by government agencies, security organizations and enterprise customers. The company develops important parts of the drone system, including airframes, electronics, software and flight-control technology. It became the first Indian company to indigenously develop and manufacture vertical take-off and landing UAVs in 2009. ideaForge listed on the Indian stock exchanges in 2023 and continues to focus on dual-use drone systems for security and commercial markets.
