Raptee.HV was incorporated in 2019 by a founding group that included Dinesh Arjun, Keerthivasan Ravi, Karthikeyan Adhikesavan and Phunith Kumar Viswanathan. The Chennai-based company is developing electric motorcycles using a high-voltage electrical architecture similar to the systems used in electric cars. This approach is designed to improve performance and allow compatibility with high-voltage charging infrastructure. Raptee initially worked on electric-vehicle technology and engineering before becoming a full motorcycle manufacturer. Its T30 platform is the company's first major production motorcycle range. The business develops areas including battery technology, power electronics, vehicle-control systems, mechanical engineering and software. Raptee.HV is therefore focused on building performance-oriented electric motorcycles rather than competing directly with the large market for lower-powered urban electric scooters.
