About Naveen Dachuri
Naveen Dachuri is the co-founder and chief technology officer of Yulu.
Journey
Dachuri built his career in software engineering and mobile technology, including senior work at InMobi. That experience involved distributed systems, location data and consumer applications, all relevant to managing a fleet whose vehicles have to be found, unlocked, monitored and maintained.
He joined Amit Gupta, R. K. Misra and Anuj Tewari to found Yulu in 2017. As CTO, Dachuri leads the technology connecting vehicles, batteries, riders and operations. Yulu expanded from shared bicycles into purpose-built electric vehicles and a battery-swapping network, with greater emphasis on last-mile delivery use.
Working approach
Dachuri's role treats each vehicle as part of a connected system. Availability, battery state, geofencing, payments and maintenance data must work together for the service to be dependable.
Assessment
His contribution is the digital control layer behind a capital-intensive fleet. The relevant tests are uptime, security, accurate asset data and whether technology reduces the cost of operating each vehicle.
