Supam Maheshwari

Supam Maheshwari is the co-founder, managing director and chief executive officer of Brainbees Solutions, which operates FirstCry.

Journey

Maheshwari studied engineering at Delhi College of Engineering and management at IIM Ahmedabad. Before FirstCry, he co-founded education-technology company Brainvisa, which was acquired by Indecomm. That experience gave him both an entrepreneurial exit and familiarity with building technology and content operations.

He co-founded FirstCry in 2010 with Amitava Saha, Sanket Hattimattur and Prashant Jadhav. The company began as an online baby-products retailer and built an omnichannel network of websites, private labels, warehouses and franchise stores. It expanded internationally and created or acquired related businesses before listing in 2024. Official governance material identifies Maheshwari as MD and CEO.

Working approach

Maheshwari has focused on a specialised category with repeat purchases and trust-sensitive products. FirstCry's franchise and private-label strategy showed a willingness to combine digital distribution with physical reach.
