Groww at a glance
Groww is an investment platform for individual investors. It started with mutual funds, allowing people to research funds, compare them and invest without going through a traditional distributor. It later expanded into stocks and other investment products. In simple terms, Groww provides the technology through which customers can open an investment account, place trades, track their portfolio and manage investments from one place. The company was started in 2016 by former Flipkart employees Lalit Keshre, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh and Ishan Bansal. Its early focus was making investing easier for people who found traditional investment platforms complicated. Groww has since developed from a mutual-fund platform into a broader retail investing and financial-services business.
