Sanket Hattimattur

Sanket Hattimattur is a co-founder and non-executive director of Brainbees Solutions, the parent of FirstCry.

Journey

Hattimattur worked with Supam Maheshwari in earlier technology and education ventures and became part of FirstCry's founding team in 2010. He held operating and chief-of-staff responsibilities as the retailer developed its online, store and private-label businesses.

FirstCry grew into an omnichannel baby and children's products company and listed in 2024. Company reporting shows that Hattimattur stepped down from the chief-of-staff role in 2025 but remained on the board. The current profile should therefore identify him as a non-executive director and co-founder rather than imply that he still runs daily operations.

Working approach

His long tenure reflects institution-building across different stages, including coordination between founders and functions. The move to a non-executive position is also part of the normal separation between ownership, board oversight and management.
